Reading Glass Books is proud to showcase Breta Lee's “Dachshund Discoveries” series at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2026, taking place October 7 to 11 at Messe Frankfurt in Germany. The special showcase will feature “Dachshund Discoveries: On the Farm” and “Dachshund Discoveries: The Sky-High Adventure,” introducing international fairgoers to stories inspired by Lee's love of family, nature, dogs, and meaningful adventures.
Lee is a seasoned educator with 28 years of teaching experience across local and international classrooms and currently serves as Director of the Diverse Abilities Program. Drawing inspiration from life on the Lee and the Hansen family farm, where she resides with her partner, Ben, she brings real-life experiences and cherished memories into her storytelling.
“Dachshund Discoveries: On the Farm” follows Cooper and Bear, two spirited dachshunds who explore fields, woods, and creeks while encountering a variety of animals along the way. Through an interactive guessing format, young readers are invited to predict which animal the duo will discover next, turning each encounter into an engaging celebration of curiosity and exploration.
In “Dachshund Discoveries: The Sky-High Adventure,” Cooper and Bear welcome Baxter, an energetic Jack Russell Terrier puppy who must learn how to slow down and find his calm. With the help of his companions, Baxter discovers simple calming techniques before embarking on an exciting family airplane adventure, where young readers are introduced to basic concepts of flight, including lift and thrust.
Through this special showcase, Reading Glass Books is delighted to bring Lee's imaginative world of Cooper, Bear, and Baxter to an international audience and highlight stories that celebrate the joy of adventure, the importance of family, and the wonder of discovering something new.
The Frankfurt Book Fair brings together publishers, authors, literary professionals, technology companies, and creative industries from around the world. As one of the leading international gatherings for the publishing industry, the fair provides a global platform for discovering books, exchanging ideas, building connections, and celebrating diverse voices in literature.
