Sometimes a photo is clear and usable, but the face is not the one a user needs. The image may come from an earlier project, a client reference, or a stock library, and only the face needs to change. Mango AI, developed by Mango Animate, offers an online AI face swap tool, allowing users to replace faces in images. The framing, clothing, and setting remain unchanged, and users retain the image they already have.
Users first upload an original photo that contains a face. Sample images are provided on the page for a quick test before users upload their own photo. They then upload a target photo with the face they want to use. Mango AI identifies the face in each photo and replaces the face in the original photo with the face from the target photo.
The AI face swap tool accepts JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP files. Clear, well-lit photos can help produce better results. The new face follows the lighting, skin tone, and expression of the original photo, so the result appears natural and realistic. A design team can test a new face on a model photo before a scheduled shoot, and a content team can update an old portrait for a listing. When a picture needs several faces changed, users can switch to Mango AI's multiple face swap image tool.
The result appears as a before-and-after view, with the original and the swapped image side by side. Users can download the swapped photo and share it on various channels, while the finished image is also kept in My Photos for later access.
Some projects require more than a single photo. When the face needs to change in a video, users can use Mango AI's video face swap tool. That process takes a video and a target photo, then returns a clip with the face replaced. A short social clip or recorded skit can retain its original movements and audio while the face is replaced.
Winston Zhang, CEO of Mango Animate, said, “With the AI face swap tool, changing a face on a photo should be a normal part of image work rather than a job for experts. The result should look natural and realistic, not pasted on.”
