NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I., Oct. 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Falvey Insurance Group today announced appointments across its finance leadership, its cargo underwriting team and its board of directors, pairing long-time Falvey leaders in expanded roles with experienced additions from across the industry.

In finance, Rob Bell has joined Falvey as chief financial officer. Bell, who started October 19^th, brings more than 25 years of property and casualty insurance finance experience, most recently as chief financial officer of PMA Companies and, before that, at Travelers, where he led finance for a division that included inland and ocean marine. Mike Edwards, who joined Falvey in 2000 and served as chief financial officer from 2003, has been named chief investment officer and will oversee Falvey's investments. Julie Hencler, who has helped lead Falvey's finance operations since 2005, has been promoted to executive vice president, group finance, and will lead the company's day-to-day financial operations. The three will work closely together.

Falvey has added Max Reilly and Dylan Edelson as assistant vice presidents, underwriting for cargo. Both bring years of cargo and marine underwriting experience with leading global insurers and will work directly with Falvey's carrier partners and brokers on complex and fast-moving risks.

Falvey also welcomed Kristy Furrer to its board of directors, which she joined earlier this year. Furrer, a senior vice president at Woodruff Sawyer, a Gallagher company, brings more than 25 years of experience helping commercial clients understand and manage risk.
