Team also meets residential developers in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia as the company pursues growth in East Africa and the Arabian Peninsula
NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ClimatBloc, a developer of lightweight, durable building systems, announced progress in its international expansion following a visit to Kenya. The team attended the AmCham Business Summit 2026 and a Freedom 250 event held at the Ambassador's residence, introducing its wall system to building industry leaders and generating strong interest in its use in the region.
Invited to both events, the ClimatBloc team received a warm welcome. Attendance was strong, and visitors showed significant interest in the building system. Discussions with industry leaders focused on its lightweight design and durability.
ClimatBloc is an engineered composite block system made from recycled materials, with insulation built into each block and manufactured in the United States. Its interlocking foundation blocks weigh about 9 pounds each.
"Pouring a foundation means concrete trucks, pump trucks and days of waiting for it to cure, and that's a real challenge on projects far from major suppliers," said Jeremy Flynn, Chief Executive Officer of ClimatBloc. "We were honored to be hosted in Kenya and to show builders a lightweight foundation system that arrives ready to stack."
ClimatBloc sees an opportunity to meet demand for affordable, structurally sound construction in Kenya. The company believes its wall system could support housing development and plans to continue building relationships with the Kenyan government, builders and developers.
After Kenya, the team met with residential developers in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia before returning to the United States. Through meetings and site visits, ClimatBloc explored residential and commercial opportunities across the region. Based on those discussions, the company sees potential for its system to serve as an alternative to concrete masonry units (CMUs), a traditional building material used in the region. The visits reinforced the company's interest in pursuing opportunities on the Arabian Peninsula alongside its expansion efforts in East Africa.
The reception in Kenya and the developer discussions in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia strengthened ClimatBloc's confidence in its international growth strategy. The company intends to build on these relationships as it pursues entry into both markets.
